Youth Recreation League Soccer - Program Overview
Youth Soccer is offered in the spring and fall for ages 5-13. Practices and games are held at Manchester Meadows and Cherry Park. The Kickers program (ages 5 & 6) is held on Saturday mornings. Practices and games for all other ages are held on weekday evenings. A team shirt and socks are included with the program fee. Participants are responsible for providing shin guards. Cleats are recommended, but not required. Players may want to bring a soccer ball to practice. The program fee also includes mandatory accident insurance, which remains in effect for all city-sponsored athletic activities within that calendar year.

At each Saturday morning session, teams will learn a new skill, participate in warm-up exercises, and play in a mini-game against another team. 6-year olds have the option of playing in the Kickers league or playing in the Under 8 division. 6-year olds that have played organized soccer in the past are encouraged to play in the Under 8 division.

Registration
Registration for the spring season typically begins at the end of January and runs for 3 or 4 weeks. Registration for the fall season starts at the beginning of August and also runs for 3 or 4 weeks. A Registration Brochure with program details and a registration form for the new season will be posted to this website when it becomes available – usually two weeks prior to the start of registration.
